We were lucky enough to get a double dose of Swedish songstress Lykke Li this past weekend (one show in Montreal and one in Toronto), but were even more excited with the amazing set by the Vancouver native Grimes who is opening for her across North America. Grimes has come along way from playing in Kenningston Market just six months ago, to opening up for an internationally acclaimed sold out artist night after night. While playing 11 shows at SXSW Grimes caught Lykke’s eye with her unique sound that is indescribable yet reminiscent of an electronic Björk.
